Katunayake Seeduwa Administrative Public Health Inspector Suresh Kumara says that 11 more employees of the NEXT garment factory in the Katunayake Free Trade Zone have been diagnosed with Corona virus.
Meanwhile, Gampaha District Secretary Sunil Jayalath said that, 119 employees of Brandix Garment Company in Minuwangoda have not been found yet and the results of 1770 PCR tests conducted in the Gampaha District are to be received.
Gampaha District Secretary Sunil Jayalath says that further operations have to be carried out to find them.
Also, 5357 PCR tests have been conducted in the Gampaha District so far. Of these, 2593 have been confirmed to be non-infected. He says 970 people have been diagnosed with the virus and 1,770 more tests are expected. Accordingly, the number of reported cases in Gampaha will increase in the future.
