Attorney-at-Law Namal Rajapaksa and Secretary of the Committee to Protect Prisoners’ Rights Sudesh Nandimal de Silva and Attorney-at-Law Senaka Perera were present to lodge a complaint with the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) seeking a fair investigation into the shooting death of Madush Lakshitha alias Makandure Madush, who was in the custody of the Colombo Crimes Division.
Speaking at the event, Attorney-at-Law Namal Rajapaksa said that he had seen inmates who had been imprisoned from 2005 to 2015 being taken away to show their weapons and killed. He says that Deshabandu Tennakoon is playing a big role in the fight against the underworld and drugs these days and his next goal is to become the Inspector General of Police. He says the allegations against Madhush should have been acted upon through the courts, but in the end Madhush’s play became a joke in the world.
