Leader of the JVP Anura Dissanayake says that the President is playing with the citizens of the country, the economy of the country and the future of the children of the country and therefore he should humbly follow up on the escalation of the Covid epidemic into a catastrophe.
He said the President should be humble enough to give a very good review of the whole process of the Kovid epidemic and look for the factors that led to the confusion and frustration.
He says that the shortcomings, shortcomings and weaknesses can be understood and good decisions can be made accordingly.
Otherwise, if the government and the President are of the mindset that we are the ones who did the best, this will become more prevalent and will not have a good result, he said.
Therefore, a good follow-up should be done and firm and tough decisions should be taken, he said. Otherwise, he says, the strict travel restrictions will not work.
He further added that the credibility of society in data and information has been eroded and the credibility needs to be rebuilt.
