The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) today staged a protest opposite the US Embassy in Colombo against the visit of US Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo.
Pompeo is set to arrive in Sri Lanka today and hold discussions with key Government officials.
Issuing a statement, the JVP said that the protest is being stage to condemn the efforts by the US Government to interfere with the independence and sovereignty of Sri Lanka.
