MP Kumara Welgama says that today the people are not afraid and are openly saying that the current President is crazy.
“People are clearly saying, ‘This man is crazy, these people are crazy,'” he said. He also recalls that people did not call Mr. Jayewardene, Mrs. Chandrika or Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa crazy during their first term in presidency.
He says the current government is distraught because of the terrorist attacks on Easter Sunday and that even if they escape the law, they will not be able to escape from God or the universe.
He says that he did not pay the salaries of the perpetrators of the Easter attack and that the salaries were paid by this government and that Mr. Sarath Fonseka also often says this. He recalls that they were appointed and paid salaries like Ven. Gnanasara Thera. Today that Ven. Gnanasara Thera has been branded as a terrorist in America today.
