The Government Nurses ‘Association has sent a letter to the Minister of Health stating that there is an attempt by the Ministry of Health to provide the Kovid 19 vaccine to the relatives of the doctors at the request of the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA).
The Government Nurses’ Association points out that such actions show a special concern for one group of health workers and that it is unethical and unfair in such a situation.
In the letter, they propose to the Minister of Health to first vaccinate all health workers at Covid 19 Hospitals and Intermediate Treatment Centers, and secondly to vaccinate all health workers at other hospitals and institutions and to complete the process within a week.
If the ministry does not take action to prevent this situation, the nurses will decide to withdraw from the vaccination program and further professional action will not be prevented.
