Gampaha tuition starts early!

The Minister of Health Pavithra Wanniarachchi had stated in Parliament yesterday (06) that approval has been given to start tuition classes in the Western Province after April 12.

The Minister also stated that the Health Guidelines for the commencement of tuition classes have been issued by the Director General of Health Services on January 21.

It states that tuition classes can be started two weeks after the commencement of schools, that the number of students in a class should be limited to a maximum of 100 at a time, and that the distance of one seat should always be maintained at a distance of less than 100 seats. She added that it should not exceed 50 percent.

However, the Minister may not be aware that tuition classes have already started in the Gampaha District. Several tuition classes have already been started in Gampaha and will be held from morning till evening.

Western tuition classes have been stopped for almost a year now. During that time, teachers wanted to teach children online, but they had to come to class and take their tutorials to the children or parents. Otherwise you will not be able to join the group.

Also, Kovid did not stop receiving his children’s monthly money. They were also received on time. Although there have been various discussions since January to resume tuition classes in Gampaha, it has not been possible.

But with the commencement of all schools on March 29, tuition classes have now started.
