The Free Media Movement says that 58 incidents related to the local media have been reported to the Free Media Movement during the past six months of this year.
From January to June 2021, there were 24 incidents related to security and safety, 29 legal cases, 01 incident related to media independence, 01 incident related to media freedom and 03 cases related to structural conditions.
The Free Media Movement publishes monthly observation reports on media freedom. This includes a full review of the pressures on media freedom, the impact on journalists, and the right to freedom of expression and expression. They are also working to release this as an annual report at the end of the year.
The report covers 12 incidents that affected media freedom in June.
