With the current crisis in Sri Lanka, the Government of Canada has issued a statement urging its citizens not to visit Sri Lanka.
Earlier, the British government issued a similar statement to the British public, and economists predict that Sri Lanka’s tourism industry will collapse to zero with the Canadian government’s response.
And the announcement said that Sri Lanka’s economic situation was deteriorating and that there was a problem with basic necessities including medicines, fuel and food, and that there could be long queues at shops, filling stations and pharmacies, and also there would be frequent power outages in Sri Lanka.
