The World Health Organization (WHO) has called on Sri Lanka to take the spread of Covid seriously as the number of corona infections reported daily is rising rapidly.
In a statement to the BBC, Dr. Olivia Niveras, a representative of the World Health Organization in Sri Lanka, said that the most challenging period in Sri Lanka had not yet arrived. She also points out that this is the biggest challenge since World War II and that Sri Lanka cannot escape it.
She points out that health workers, security forces and other local authorities cannot control this on their own, but that they can control it when they do their part.
She advises people to stay away from crowded places, crowded places and places close to each other. It is essential not to go to work if you feel sick.
Although the vaccine is a powerful aid, it is not the only cure and it is important to follow health care practices, she said.
The World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations are ready to assist Sri Lanka in any way possible to control the spread of the virus to Sri Lankans who have been suffering from the Kovid virus for more than a year.
