Oil tanks in Trincomalee will not be leased to an Indian company. – Minister Dilum

Minister of State Dilum Amunugama says that he does not expect oil tanks to be leased to India again, as the oil tanks in Trincomalee have been handed over to the Indian Oil Company and the Indian Foreign Secretary has been inspecting it.

He was commenting on rumors circulating about the Indian Foreign Secretary’s visit to Sri Lanka.

This tour will bring many benefits to the development of the country. He also said that Indian railways experts would be consulted to regulate the operation of trains in the country.

The Minister also said that more attention will be paid to the transportation of goods such as diesel and sand by trains, which are more focused on passenger transport.

The Minister said that with the intervention of the Indian Foreign Secretary, programs are underway to supply cows from India to Sri Lanka to increase milk production in the country.

The Minister said that the oil tanks in Trincomalee had been handed over to the Indian Oil Company and that the Indian Foreign Secretary was inspecting the tanks and did not expect to lease them back to India.
