Senior Superintendent of Police G. N de Zoysa has been appointed as the new Director of the CID.
Another 36 senior police officers have been transferred immediately.
It consists of 05 DIGs, 08 Senior Superintendents of Police, 04 Assistant Superintendents of Police and 19 Chief Inspectors of Police.
The two directors who were in charge of the CCD and the CID were transferred.
