Minister Dullas speaks about a fundamental right of the people!

Dullas Alahapperuma, the Minister of Power and Energy has said that this government believes electricity and water as a fundamental right of the people and therefore we have buried that obscene politics in history, which saying to people such facilities could not be provide because they are voting for another party like UNP, JVP, SLPP or TNA.

He says that this government does not focus on the issues depending on to whom, the voters going to vote. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the government to provide solutions for all these questions.

According to the election manifesto of President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, Vistas for Prosperity, every family in this country has a fundamental right to drinking water and every household has the right to have access to electricity. When inquired about this, he said they found only 108,000 families in Sri Lanka were lived without electricity and only fifty percent had access to drinking water.

He said, “It has been a year and four months since we came back to power, but unfortunately we had to fight the universal catastrophe of Covid, and now the education crisis is intensifying more than the country’s economic crisis. It is our responsibility to rescue children trapped at home as fathers and brothers.

The Minister was said this while addressing an occasion in Dewundra.
