Manusha Nanayakkara, Member of Parliament for the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) says that this government is still lying as usual and now trying to get elected for another term.
He says that the people were deceived by Sweet syrup which known as ‘Dhammika Paniya’ (ධම්මික පැණිය). SLPP had not admitted that it was a government’s failure that caused to raising the price fuel but tried to get rid from all the responsibilities by putting all the blame on minister.
Also the government bragged that when the person who has ‘Seven Brains’ arrived the commodity price would be decreased. He recalled that MP Namal Rajapaksa had stated that they were against the increase of fuel prices as a party, then why did not the fathers, uncles and sons jointly decide, not to increase the price.
“When this reality is exposed, it is called ‘Deal politics’. We do not have any deal politics and that is why we are slandered and others whitewashed, says MP Manusha. If we have Deal politics, no-confidence motions will not be brought”, he added.
He was speaking in Parliament at the debate of no-confidence motion against Minister Udaya Gammanpila.
