Kuda Oya police assault a polio patient

A group of officers from the Kuda Oya Police Station who had gone to raid a casino had taken a money from a cupboard to a house and harassed the owner of the money when he went to the police and demanded a refund.

On the night of 2nd July Veherayaya, Ethiliwewa Dudley M.M Thilina Danushka no. 2/97, had gone to irrigate the pumpkin cultivation in the Veherayaya land. Later that night, the Kuda Oya Police arrived to raid a casino in Siripuragama. Upon learning that the casino was being raided, the people in the casino went to Thilina’s house and hid. Police officers had gone to Thilina’s house and caught the group hiding in the house and had smashed a cupboard in a room in the house with an ax. Thilina’s father had shouted that his son had money in the cupboard. Police have broken into a steel cupboard and taken away Rs.
