Archbishop Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith says there will be island-wide protests if the government fails to bring to justice those accused of involvement in the Easter Sunday terror attacks before April 21.
Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith said that he would continue to be at the forefront with the people until justice is done, regardless of the forces at work, adding that he wanted to see justice done.
“If we do not see justice done to the people by next month, April 21, I would like to inform you that our protest on the 21st will be very strong throughout Sri Lanka. If this government does not take action within 21 years of bringing to justice some of those who have been named as guilty by the Commission, at least in accordance with the orders given by the Commission, without any special treatment to anyone in the transparent process, we will have to continue our protest. We will not give up on that. ”
