A complaint against Seeduwa Police

Mrs. Sham Niluka Silva was assaulted by three men in Katunayake on July 2 at around 6.45 pm. Mrs. Niluka Silva has lodged a complaint with the Seeduwa Police stating that a man had stopped her while she was riding her bicycle and that three other men had knocked her to the ground and assaulted her and tore her clothes.

However, the Seeduwa Police have not yet arrested the suspects and the chairperson of the Lakwanitha Peramuna, Shanthini Kongahage has complained to the Police Headquarters about the threat to her (Niluka) life. A copy of the letter which mentioned the complaint has also been sent to the Minister of Public Defend Sarath Weerasekera.
