The Ceylon Private Bus Association states that the number of private buses traveling in the country will be reduced by 50% from today (28) due to the shortage of diesel in the country.
Speaking at a media briefing on the 27th, the President of the association Gemunu Wijeratne stated that only essential journeys such as office hours and GCE Advanced Level examination periods will be operated from today.
Thus, the bus service will be completely stopped during the daytime.
