Anuradhapura hospital charges on killing Muslim Covid patient…

Judicial doctors at the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital have decided to suspend all post – mortem examinations following a complaint lodged by a group of relatives alleging that a Muslim had died at the Covid hospital and that four Covid deaths had been lodged at the morgue for several weeks, including two other Muslim bodies.

The bodies of three Muslims and a Tamil man who had contracted Covid have been piled up at the Teaching Hospital morgue since February 1, and forensic doctors have decided to suspend the post-mortem examination immediately due to the dangerous situation.

Relatives have lodged a written complaint with the Director (Acting) of the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital, Dr. Dulan Weerawardena, alleging that a 53-year-old resident of Nachchaduwa, Anuradhapura had died while receiving treatment at the Surgical Intensive Care Unit of the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital.

Person who admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Anuradhapura Hospital without any warning with covid 19. The patient had arrived in Anuradhapura from Colombo 13 due to a foot injury and had died due to complications after being admitted to the hospital.

The relatives have sent a letter to the Director of the Anuradhapura Hospital stating that the cause of his death was a murder committed by the hospital and an investigation is being carried out accordingly.
