At least 1,000 people have been killed in an earthquake in Afghanistan. Also, 1500 people have been injured and the number of missing has not been calculated yet.
The quake affected southeastern Afghanistan. and The earthquake struck about 44km (27 miles) from the city of Khost and tremors were felt as far away as Pakistan and India.
Its magnitude is reported to be 5.9 on the Richter scale.
