A Solidarity Campaign in Sri Lanka for the Enforced Disappeared in Pakistan

A solidarity campaign was held at Sri Lanka seeking justice for the disappeared in Pakistan. The campaign was held in front of the High Commission of Pakistan in Sri Lanka located at Colombo 07. Right to Life Human Rights Centre also was present at the Solidarity Campaign.

“Thousands Disappeared! “Where are they?” “Government of Pakistan We Demand Justice and Accountability for the disappeared” “Release PTM Activists” “Recover All Activists”, “Disappearance Unacceptable!”, These were the demands that the Campaigners were raising .

The campaign was organized by the “South Asian Solidarity in Sri Lanka” and many Civil Society Activists, Human Rights Defenders along were present at the campaign.

Ms. Sandya Eknaligoda, Ms. Mauri Inoka Jayasena handed over the petition on behalf of the Sri Lankan Solidarity who were present at the campaign to the High Commission of Pakistan in Sri Lanka.

We as Sri Lankans have been encountering the same issue for the last 3 decades and more on. Where is Justice still a question and a day dream for enforced disappeared.
