Roshan Wickremanayake, the Korean Convener of the Korean Ceylon Coalition, said there is a risk of Sri Lankan youth losing their employment contracts in Korea in the first week of February 2020 under the Korean Language Examination held in 2018.

He also said that the youth who have signed employment contracts with the Foreign Employment Bureau and received visas to enter Korea should be expedited to Korea soon after the employment contracts were received in February 2020.

Otherwise, Koreas large labor shortage will motivate its industrial employers to recruit other workers (in other countries) on the Korean jobs waiting list.

He said that several new employment contracts have already been canceled and the country has lost its foreign exchange earnings when the country was faced with an economic crisis. To arrange for the departure of the Korean Government.
